In the warm-up match being played at the SLC Ground in Colombo, Gurnur Brar caught everyone’s attention with his explosive batting. In the last over of the day, Brar, batting in a T20 style, hit four sixes against Dilam Sudira Tillakaratne. Head coach Gautam Gambhir was delighted with his explosive batting and applauded Ravindra Jadeja.

Braar scored an unbeaten 36 off 18 balls, including four sixes and two fours. Devdutt Padikkal, meanwhile, batted brilliantly, scoring an unbeaten 142, including 18 fours.

Earlier, Sri Lanka XI declared their first innings at 363/8. For India, KL Rahul scored 40, Ravindra Jadeja 63, and Manav Suthar 41.
