Deepti Sharma’s Sunrisers Leeds booked its place in the Hundred 2026 final after defeating Southern Brave in the Eliminator at the Oval on Saturday.

Leeds will face Trent Rockets in the summit clash at Lord’s on Sunday, August 16.

It was another fruitful day for Deepti, who picked up a wicket and scored an unbeaten 28* off 22 balls to guide her side to a five-wicket win.

With today’s performance, the 28-year-old took her tally to 13 wickets from nine matches and is now provisionally the highest wicket-taker in the competition with one game to go.

Only Rockets’ Sam Bates, with 11 wickets from eight games can realistically dethrone Deepti from the top spot.

In the first innings, Brave managed to put up only 114 with the bat. Opener Lizee Lee was the top scorer for her side, scoring 32 off 25 balls, while Annabel Sutherland and Hannah Baker chipped in for Leeds with two wickets each.

Deepti took the wicket of Maia Boucher when the scoreboard read 56/2. In the second innings, Phoebe Litchfield, the leading run-scorer in the tournament, experienced a rare failure as she fell to Issy Wong for a run-a-ball four.

Leeds were in a spot of bother at 54/3 but Lauren Winfield-Hill and Deepti steadied the ship with a 41-run partnership. Deepti, who has hardly made runs in the competition, showcased her batting prowess with a trifecta of boundaries to knock Brave out of the competition.
