Delhi: Star spinner Charlie Dean has once again been given the responsibility of captaining the England women's cricket team. She will lead the team in the three-match ODI series against Ireland in September. Earlier, he also captained the ODI series against New Zealand, as regular captain Nat Sciver-Brunt was not available due to injury.

Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danny Wyatt-Hodge are focusing on fitness and recovery. Whereas Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Bell and Amy Jones have not got a place in the team. This has opened the way for young and less experienced players to show their potential.

Alice Capsey will handle wicketkeeping

In the absence of Amy Jones, Alice Capsey will play the role of wicketkeeper. Grace Potts and Kira Chathali have been included in the international team for the first time. Charis Powelli, who has played two T20I matches, will have a chance to make her debut in ODI cricket.

Ryana McDonald-Gay returns

Ryana McDonald-Gay has returned to the team after recovering from a back injury. He has performed well in domestic cricket and for Manchester Super Giants. Apart from this, Tilly Courtin-Coleman is also a part of the team. She had played two ODI matches against New Zealand, after which she would now like to further her experience.

The first match of the ODI series will be played in Leicester on 1 September, the second in Derby on 3 September and the third in Worcester on 6 September.
