Virat Kohli hasn’t travelled with the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The first batch of the players has left for the United States of America, including captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. According to reports, there is some delay with the paperwork of Virat.
Kohli will be flying out to the USA on May 30, Thursday. There is a possibility of him missing the warm-up match against Bangladesh.
Hardik Pandya was also missing from the first group as he is in London for training and will join the team directly from there. India will start their campaign on June 4 against Ireland before taking Pakistan on May 9.
Virat scored 741 runs in 15 matches at an average of 61.75 and a strike-rate of more than 153 in IPL 2024.
He played a crucial role in RCB’s six match unbeaten run and qualification to the playoffs. However, Rajasthan Royals ended Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s stint in the Eliminator.
