The excitement is at its peak in the Division 'A' matches of the 16th Hockey India Junior Women's National Championship 2026 held in Pune. On another great day of the tournament, Hockey Chandigarh, Hockey Association of Odisha and Hockey Madhya Pradesh performed well in their respective matches and registered great victories. Whereas, in a very competitive and exciting match of Pool C, Manipur Hockey defeated Hockey Maharashtra and scored important points. The enthusiasm and game strategy of the players on the field was worth seeing.

In a tough match in Pool A, Hockey Chandigarh defeated Hockey Punjab by a margin of 3-1. The first half of the match remained goalless, but the game gained momentum in the initial moments of the second half. For Chandigarh, Diksha opened the account by scoring a goal in the 33rd minute, after which just a minute later, Raveena doubled the lead by scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Although Punjab's Kaur Jasmine tried to make a comeback by scoring a goal in the 40th minute, but Chauhan Priya ensured Chandigarh's victory by scoring a goal in the 46th minute.

Hockey Association of Odisha, on the other hand, showcased their aggressive play against Hockey Bengal in Pool B and registered a one-sided 6-0 win. Captain Drupathi Naik scored two brilliant goals, while Ajeeta Ekka, Ekka Sonali, Binti Minj and Bhoi Doli also contributed significantly to this big win by scoring goals. Similarly, in Pool D, Hockey Madhya Pradesh also defeated Hockey Himachal by 6-0. Tanvi scored two goals for Madhya Pradesh, while Kajal played brilliantly and completed her brilliant hat-trick by scoring goals in the 19th, 26th and 52nd minutes. In the end, Kudrat scored another goal in the 59th minute and took the score to 6-0.

Pool C match was the most exciting, where Manipur Hockey defeated Hockey Maharashtra 3-2. Manipur player Sallu Pukhrambam was the star of this match, who completed an excellent hat-trick by scoring goals in the 21st, 43rd and 47th minutes and led the team to victory. Although Maharashtra's Ruby Rathore (49') and captain Tanishka Sanjay Shinde (53') tried their best to make a comeback by scoring two consecutive goals, Manipur won the match by maintaining its lead till the end.
