The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is back for its 14th edition with six mouth-watering weeks of T20 Cricket beginning in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on August 7 and concluding in Guyana on September 20.

This year's competition is set to be the most momentous in the tournament's history with six franchises set to battle it out in a record-breaking 39 matches across eight countries in the region. It is also the first time that the CPL has been held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with the Arnos Vale Stadium set to host the curtain-raiser.

The action in the Caribbean's pre-eminent T20 summer kicks off with an expanded CPL field and new and exciting venues set to host local and international fans.

New Contenders and Historic Venues for CPL 2026

Reigning champions Trinbago Knight Riders are back on the park defending their title, but the focus is on the debutants, Jamaica Kingsmen. The Kingsmen were the first Jamaican franchise to be launched after the Jamaica Tallawahs folded up due to administrative problems in 2023.

The regional final will be played at the iconic Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, set to host all four knockout matches, including the final on September 20.

This will be the first time that the Kensington Oval hosts the tournament's final match.

Tournament Format of CPL 2026:

The expanded seven-team field is competing in a single round-robin league stage, with the top four sides advancing to the high-stakes playoff phase:

Qualifier 1 (Sept 17): 1st place vs. 2nd place (winner advances directly to the Final).

Qualifier 2 (Sept 18): Qualifier 1 loser vs. Eliminator winner.
