Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is currently in the news. He has expressed concern about the strike rate of Pakistani batsmen. Each over should have 8 to 9 runs. In my opinion, Pakistan is a strong contender for the title.' Afridi, who was a member of Pakistan's 2009 World Cup-winning team, believes the fast bowlers will have a huge responsibility.

He said, 'I think Pakistan will reach the finals as the conditions in West Indies and America favor our team. No other team has such a strong bowling attack. Our fast bowlers are amazing. All these bowlers have a big responsibility.

Afridi added, 'All the players in the team are important but recently Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan have played important roles. If I had to choose one, I would choose Babar. He is the captain and I want him to play well and take good decisions to help the team win.'

Pakistan has been placed in Group A along with India, Ireland, Canada and USA.
