DPL 2026 Final: North Delhi Strikers became the champions of Women’s DPL, defeating South Delhi by 6 wickets in the final.

South Delhi were restricted to 122 runs due to a disciplined performance by the bowlers.

Electing to bat first after the toss, South Delhi Superstars got off to a slow start. The team managed only 122 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs. Captain Shweta Sehrawat played a composed innings of 31 runs off 32 balls, while wicketkeeper Nishika Singh scored an unbeaten 39 runs off 30 balls (4 fours, 1 six) to help the team reach a respectable total.

For North Delhi, Apeksha Anand bowled the most economically, taking one wicket for just 13 runs in four overs. Priya Mishra, Najma, Archana, and Reshika Beniwal also took one wicket each to keep the pressure on the opposition.

Aayushi and Archana’s partnership turned the match around

Chasing a target of 123, North Delhi got off to a shaky start. Despite an aggressive start from opener Upasana Yadav, the Superstars bowlers dismissed two wickets for a mere 15 runs. Captain Ayushi Soni (43 off 39 balls) and Archana (40 off 36 balls) then took charge. Their crucial partnership put the team on track for victory.

Najma strikes under pressure

Needing 20 runs to win in the final four overs, Najma, in a moment of pressure, scored a quickfire unbeaten 24 to take the match out of South Delhi’s grasp. Supported by Samaira Raghav, she scored an unbeaten 7, including a spectacular six. North Delhi achieved the target on the final ball of the 19th over to claim the trophy.
