Live Hindi News :- The Qualifier 1 match of the play-off round of the IPL 2024 T20 cricket series was held on 21 May in the city of Ahmedabad. The match started at 7.30 pm and the top 2 teams Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad clashed. Hyderabad won the toss and declared to bat first.

Kolkata in the final: Hence, the 5th wicket pair of Heinrich Klaasen and Rahul Tripathi put on a 62-run partnership for the Hyderabad team, which was initially faltering at 39/4. However, Klaasen was bowled by Varun Chakravarthy for 32 (21). Tripathi, who played brilliantly at the other end in the next few overs, was run out for 55 (35).

In the end, Hyderabad were bowled out for 159 in 19.3 overs with skipper Bud Cummins scoring 30 (24). Mitchell Starc and Varun Chakravarthy took the maximum 3 wickets for Kolkata. Chasing 160 runs, Rishabh Menon and Rishabh Pant shared an opening partnership of 44 runs before Natarajan was dismissed for 23 (14).

In the next few overs, Sunil Narine faltered on the other side and was bowled out by skipper Cummins for 21 (16). But the next pair of Venkatesh Iyer and skipper Shreyas Iyer took action against the Hyderabad bowlers. Hyderabad threw away a few catches given by the pair.

The pair took advantage of this with Venkatesh scoring 51* (28) and captain Shreyas Iyer scoring 58* (24) to give a brilliant finish. Thus Kolkata scored 164/2 in 13.4 overs and easily won by 8 wickets and became the first team to qualify for the final to be held in Chennai.

On the other hand, Kolkata qualified for the final for the fourth consecutive time in 2012, 2014 and 2021. Especially in the last 6 years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, the team that won the Qualifier 1 tournament also won the trophy.
